Calling All Music and Dance Performers

Shahrivargaan Persian Festival organizers are calling for performers to submit requests to participate in the Shahrivargaan Festival.The next Shahrivargaan Festival will be held on the last Sunday of August at Ray Perrault Park located in beautiful North Vancouver, B.C., Canada. This park is an exciting outdoor venue that comfortably accommodates thousands of people. This festival, which is the largest of its kind in BC, attracts over 20,000 people annually i one day. Our goal is to continue to raise awareness of our music, artists, art and culture.

We are looking for musicians and performers with PERSIAN culture content. Ultimately, we would like to select a variety of performers that best project the image and Diversity of the Region. Open-air concert, indoor concert, dance hall stage and easy listening. Please provide us with your promotional kit. We may request an audition for your group.

Equipment provided: A complete sound system with a 32-channel board and backline gear. A professional sound engineer for the outdoor main stage (approx. 24 x 20) is available. Performers MUST provide any special equipment requirements.

Compensation: Performers are given honorariums, which are funded primarily by a provincial gaming grant and the fundraising efforts (proceeds from concessions) of the Iranian Info Centre Society. There is no cover charge or entrance fee.

Participation in the Shahrivargaan Festival Entertainment Program

In consideration for being permitted to take part in this event, we agree to perform diligently, preventing harm or injury to ourselves or others, whether participants or non-participants, and to keep indemnified the IICS Society of British Columbia, Shahrivargaan Festival Committee, and/or the City of North Vancouver, and their respective agents, officials, servants, and representatives

from and against all claims, actions, costs, expenses, and demands in respect to death, injury, loss, or damage to persons or property, however, caused, arising out of or in, notwithstanding that the same may have been contributed to or occasioned by the negligence of the said bodies or any of their agents, officials, servants, or representatives. It is understood and agreed that this agreement is binding on the applicant, its heirs, executors, and assigns and that the applicant has been informed that it may seek legal advice before signing this agreement.
